Infant Enrollment

Ages: 6 weeks to 18 months

Our infant program is designed to be a safe, loving place where your baby can feel secure, comforted, and cared for each day. We provide a nurturing environment that supports your child’s physical and cognitive development through gentle routines, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate toys that encourage curiosity and early learning.

Our qualified, trained teachers provide close, attentive supervision at all times and take the time to build strong, trusting bonds with each infant. These consistent relationships help your baby feel safe, supported, and confident as they grow.

Your baby’s safety is always our top priority. Infants are placed on their backs to sleep in individual cribs that meet current safety standards and are kept free of blankets, toys, and loose items, following safe sleep guidelines. Teachers routinely check on sleeping infants and remain present and attentive during all play, care, and rest periods.

We understand that every infant is unique. Feeding, diapering, and nap schedules are individualized to meet your baby’s changing needs and routines. To help you feel connected and reassured throughout the day, families receive a daily report sharing details about feedings, diaper changes, rest times, activities, and developmental milestones.

At Smiling Faces Academy, we care for your baby as if they were our own—and we are committed to providing you with peace of mind, trust, and open communication every step of the way.

Our preschool program provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Learning occurs through hands-on play, structured activities, and guided discovery in accordance with state childcare licensing standards.

The curriculum includes school-readiness components such as early literacy, math, science, and problem-solving skills. Children are introduced to letter recognition, phonological awareness, early writing, number concepts, counting, patterns, and basic reasoning skills through age-appropriate activities designed to prepare them for kindergarten.

Qualified, trained teachers provide active supervision at all times and maintain a safe, structured learning environment that promotes confidence, respect, independence, and positive self-esteem. Classroom routines and expectations support self-help skills, attention to tasks, cooperation with peers, and appropriate classroom behavior.

To support a successful transition to kindergarten, teachers regularly assess children’s developmental progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs. Smiling Faces Academy, Inc. works collaboratively with local kindergarten teachers to align curriculum goals and expectations, ensuring children are prepared for the academic, social, and behavioral requirements of the next educational setting.

Families receive a daily written report that provides information regarding their child’s activities, learning experiences, and developmental progress. Ongoing communication supports a strong partnership between families and teachers throughout the preschool year.
